Who has access to your data

Your data is accessible to the Europump Secretariat and, where relevant, to the members of the Executive Council, Commissions or Working Groups concerned. We also rely on:

  • our hosting provider, whose servers are located in the European Union;
  • the host association of an annual meeting, where registration for that meeting is organised by a member association on our behalf;
  • our accountant and statutory auditors, for the financial records they are required to keep.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. We do not transfer personal data outside the European Economic Area. Data may be disclosed to a public authority only where the law requires it.

How we protect your data

Access to our systems is restricted to named accounts, connections to this website are encrypted (HTTPS), and our servers are hosted in the European Union. Should a personal data breach be likely to result in a high risk to your rights and freedoms, we will inform you without undue delay, as required by Articles 33 and 34 of the GDPR.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation you may ask us to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you, and obtain a copy;
  • correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • erase your data, where there is no overriding obligation to keep it;
  • restrict or object to a processing based on our legitimate interest;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where processing is based on consent — this does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.
